How This Face Scanner Works
Choose a photo, review how it will be processed, then agree and start the analysis. Your result appears on this page.
What You Upload
Choose one clear, front-facing JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC or HEIF image up to 50 MB. iPhone photos are prepared automatically. Use even lighting and keep your face clearly visible.
What You Get Back
AI observations about visible signs, a conservative skin type tendency where there is enough evidence, up to three main observations and a simple routine direction. No appearance score or clinical measurements.
What the Scan Looks At — and What It Doesn't
The tool describes visible cosmetic appearance. A photo cannot explain everything about your skin.
Skin Type Indicators
Visible shine and flaking may suggest a tendency. The model is asked to say uncertain when evidence is insufficient. A photo cannot determine sensitivity, hydration or oil production.
Visible Surface Signs
Shine, visible texture, redness and uneven-looking tone can be described. Lighting, makeup and image quality affect those observations.
What It Doesn't Measure
FaceScanner does not identify people, search for faces, score attractiveness or diagnose conditions. AI observations can be wrong.
How to Get a Useful Result
Photo Tips
Face a window in even daylight, keep your face unobstructed and avoid filters. Filters can smooth away the very texture a photo is meant to show.
Common Reasons a Scan Doesn't Work
Darkness, blur, side angles, heavy makeup and several faces in one frame make photos less useful. A better photo improves visibility; it does not make a photo tool a diagnosis.
From Scan to a Skincare Routine
Keep the first steps understandable: gentle cleansing, a comfortable moisturizer and sunscreen. The questionnaire helps you think through your skin's behavior and budget without needing a photo.
Take the skin type quizNo Account — Retake an Unclear Photo
One clear photo is usually enough. Up to three successful photo analyses are available per browser per day for retakes, resetting at 00:00 UTC. An unsuitable photo or upstream failure does not use a successful allowance. A separate attempt limit prevents repeated failed requests from consuming processing resources. Anonymous limits can be affected by clearing cookies.

Selecting a photo only previews it. After you agree and click Analyze, it is sent to an external AI service for analysis; FaceScanner does not save it.
How the scan uses your photoFace Scanner FAQ
Can I scan a photo right now?
Yes. Choose a photo, agree to AI analysis, then click Analyze photo. Your report appears on the page.
Do I need to download an app?
No. These pages work in your phone or desktop browser. The questionnaire needs no app or account.
What kind of photo should I prepare?
Use one clear, front-facing photo in even daylight, without filters or anything covering your face. JPG, PNG, WebP and iPhone HEIC or HEIF photos are accepted, up to 50 MB.
What can a photo show about skin?
The AI describes visible cosmetic appearance and provides general routine direction. It does not measure hydration or diagnose conditions. Use the questionnaire to compare with how your skin behaves over a day.
Can FaceScanner diagnose a skin condition?
No. FaceScanner offers self-assessment and general skincare direction, not a diagnosis. Persistent or changing skin concerns need a qualified clinician.
Is this face recognition or reverse image search?
No. FaceScanner is not designed to identify you, compare your identity with other photos or find people.
Is there a subscription?
The photo summary and questionnaire are free. An optional complete report costs $9.90 once and is available after your free scan. It expands the same observations into care directions; it does not buy more scans. No subscription or automatic renewal.
